The Next Generation Community
“Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” ~ 1 Timothy 4:12
Identity - Who are we?
The Next Generation community is comprised of adult members of the Huber Memorial Church between the ages 30-49. We are blessed to be in the unique position of being old enough to relate to the generations that precede us, as well as young enough to relate to the generation that will constitute our successors. We serve as teachers of the youth and young adults, and are students of the wisdom of our elders.

Our Mission - Why are we here?
Mission: We are organized to motivate and support each other, as we prepare and position ourselves for service in ministry, and as we focus on the continuity of the church’s mission. We will work collaboratively with the generations before and after us. By bridging the gap, we seek to mature with a Christ-like heart.
Vision: Serving how? We are serving W.O.W. – Worshiping, One-Another-ing and Witnessing.
Our Goals - What would we like to accomplish?
To build intentional relationships with generations that came before us and work alongside them in ministry.
To build and solidify relationships with our peers.
To be facilitators of organic growth both inside and outside the walls of the church.
To be a ministry that exemplifies the Bible standards of Christian conduct and relationships.
To grow or transition from being disciples, students and helpers into the coaches, teachers and leaders necessary for the CONTINUED SUCCESS of the church.
Our Plan - How will we achieve our goals?
Every member of the Next Generation community understands that his/her contribution is important to the fulfilling of the community’s mission and vision. Sub-committees have been formed to provide each member the opportunity to serve and collaborate with other team members in small group settings. These small groups focus on specific assignments that serve to accomplish goals that support and hi-light the mission. The list of sub-committees include: Magazine sub-committee, One Another-ers sub-committee, Hands to Hearts sub-committee, Community Impact sub-committee, and the Prayer Planning sub-committee.

The Servant Leader’s Guiding Scripture:
Within minutes they were bickering over who of them would end up the greatest. But Jesus intervened: “Kings like to throw their weight around and people in authority like to give themselves fancy titles. It’s not going to be that way with you. Let the senior among you become like the junior; let the leader act the part of the servant. - Luke 22: 24-26 (MSG)
