Huber Memorial Church

The mission of the Marriage Ministry, is to "Redeem the Family" by strengthening the marital relationship. We provide couples an avenue for growth, healing & outreach by studying God's Word regarding our covenant agreement. We believe that oneness can be achieved by equipping and empowering marriages by making a commitment to God, to spouses and families; by sharing couple's testimonies, studying, praying and providing practical resources. The Marriage Ministry will:

• Conduct a weekly Bible Study where married and engaged couples can study the Word of God as it pertains to marriage;

• Plan activities to help build and strengthen the bond of marriage;

• Provide information and access to marriage conferences & seminars as a tool for continued growth in our marriages;

• Develop a resource library to further our study, growth & development.

When divorce is not an option, negotiation & reconciliation is an obligation. Amen!

Special highlights and functions of this ministry:

We plan annual fellowships including Valentine’s Day events, Marriage Ministry Cookouts, and Christmas Gatherings. Occasional special events have included Marriage Ministry Retreats, Movie Nights, "Prom Night" and "Covenant Renewal: An Affair To Remember" events. The Marriage Ministry encourages married couples to participate in the Family Life "Weekend to Remember" marriage conference. Family Life is a Christian organization that helps couples build healthier marriages and families. See www.familylife.com for more information.

Who can participate?
Any member of the church who is married. If your spouse is not available, please know you are still welcome to join us. We also encourage the participation of couples who are engaged to be married or those contemplating marriage. Members of the fellowship whose spouses are not members are also welcome.

When do we meet?
The Marriage Ministry meets for Bible Study every Thursday at 7 p.m. during Bible Study sessions. This is a serious Bible Study where we learn how to handle the pleasures and the pressures of a Christian marriage. Come out and gather with other married couples as we all continue to learn God's instruction for our Christian marriages. We promise, we'll do you good!
