The Church Council is the elected leaders and governing body of the congregation. The Church Council's primary responsibility is to assist the Pastor with arranging and carrying out plans for the welfare of the congregation as we serve, honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. The Council shall see that the provisions of the Constitution and by-laws are obeyed.


Special highlights and functions of this ministry:


The Church Council members should exhibit and model the qualifications of a leader as in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. He or she must be at least 21 years of age and have been an active member of Huber Memorial Church for at least one year. Each officer shall be elected for 2 years by the congregation at its annual meeting and shall be eligible to succeed himself/herself for a second term.


Who can participate?


Leaders of each church ministry serves on the Church Council. The leadership of the Church Council is elected from amongst the leaders of the ministries. The Church Council members should exhibit and model the qualifications of a leader as in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. He or she must be at least 21 years of age and have been an active member of Huber Memorial Church for at least one year. When do we meet?


The Church Council meets quarterly on the 2nd Wednesday of March, June, September and December. Meetings begin promptly at 6:45 pm.
